Genre of our Chosen Song
The genre of our chosen song is Alternative due to Joint Honours combining features of both Rap and Pop and merging them together. Overall likewise, alternative merges features of two or more genres together and even incorporates new features into it such as iconic electro beats etc. In addition, the song connotes that it is a happy song and that subsequently opens up more doors for us in order to make a music video alongside it.

Examples of the endeavour of merging two or more genres into one has been done before by the likes of Run DMC and MC Hammer, which were the founding fathers of alternative rap to say the least.
These two artists are a prime example due to their pop like melody's to their song, i.e "Cant touch this" which is an excellent example of alternate music due to its mixture of both genres.
Overall this is why these bands exemplify this diverse and unique genre.
