Google Maps Images of Locations Wanted For Media Music Video YR13
1. Tallington Bridge
For our extensive time lapse shot, we want to capture several trains going by that is interrupted by traffic once the barriers go up. We ideally need to capture at least 6-10 trains to make the 10 second sequence, even though it will be sped up very fast, to seem long enough to make the viewer feel that it was filmed over a few hours. Time lapses are appropriate for the alternative genre to emphasize upon the vast scale of the genres indie ideology of not necessarily needing to have large budgets so that is why a lot of alternative music videos are filmed near rural or semi-urban train track locations for their time-lapse shots.
2. Carlby Fen Train Tracks
We will use some shots of Calby Fens train tracks near an open field to incorporate into our time lapse sequence. Alternative music videos often use two or three sparely located train tracks that are incorporated into just one 20-30 second time lapse sequence. The same principal for this is the same as what was mentioned above for time-lapse sequences.
3. Toft Bridge
We will use Haconby's bus stop in order to film parts of the narrative shots. The scene will be of me and later Conor using this because part of the narrative consists of the three mask-wielding men finding each other after a journey through our chosen locations. This adheres to alternative themes of characters using bus-stops and having a journey to find themselves or somebody important to them, such as in Galantis "Runaway" music video.
We will use toft bridge for our lip-syncing scenes due to the fact that the area is overgrown and has a menacing looking fence under the bridge that adheres to the conventions of urban decay locations that are frequently utilised in alternative music video locations. In addition, we will also film the lip-syncing scenes against the background of this area to make our animal masks stand out more and to make it seem more surreal like most alternative music videos are.
4. Hackonby Bus Stop
